Hey, thanks everyone! Wasn't expecting so many kind comments on this, especially after the competition has ended! I'm happy to have done as well as I have in such a tough field of excellent photos, and thanks for all the "favorites" votes, too! :)

Can it truly be that only 8 other people gave this a ten?! This should seriously have placed MUCH better! I'm so disappointed. But top ten percent isn't bad. Great work.

This is not the one I had picked as yours but now that I know it is, I can see your touch to it. Congratulations on doing so well in a tuff challenge.

A very difficult shot taken well, you have captured the mist perfectly.

I keep coming back to look at this photo - it's really just gorgeous. This is tied with one other for my top pic and if one of those two doesn't win I'm staging a protest.

Given a 10 on my first pass through, which I very rarely do. Just fabulous. Into my favs it goes. 10, just-married

OK, I like it because of the eerie feel, but the subject (old barn) is not very interesting to look at.....

This photo is excellent, the mist and morning light lend an intangible quality.

Back for another look at this shot - it has a very "painterly" feel to, and the fog gives it such a mysterious look. I like the balance of the composition, and the fact that even though it is color, it almost looks like a hand-tinted black and white. This isn't one of those "drop-dead wow" shots, but it is one that the more you look at it, the more questions you have about what you see. Definitely a story there.

Beautiful misty effect. Maybe a little too much. This shot seems to be filled with lovely details that are a little lost in the soup. Still nice. 7.

I don't know if this is real or post processed up the ying yang but I like it all the same. The softness of the colors and the dominance of gray is really cool.
