 I've taken some FS images here. Campotosto is the biggest lake of my area and it's at 1500 metres above sea level. This year we had a lot of snow on the mountains and low temperatures so the lake was frozen in most of its area.

There was a lot of snow along the road to reach it and some tracts of it were closed. It was not easy. When we started to walk to reach the shore a couple of dogs menaced us very seriously. Then we went on but the shore was sooooo far with 50-70 cm. of snow on the ground. So we took at least 30-40 minutes to reach it (it would take 5 minutes in normal conditions). I fell 3 times and two of them on the ice of the lake. At least I've been ready to set my gear to shoot a timelapse of the dawn with the sun peeping out from Mount Corvo (Mount Crow).

I lost the reds/yellows of the pre dawn, but clouds were amazing as well.

ETA: this is not a long exposure, clouds really had that shape without long exposure movement.

Looking at this I don't recall seeing much better Landscapes from you and this is straight from your top drawer. Image speaks for itself and few great landscape shots gets taken with little effort. Love this.. But I think I now want my lens back ;)

Cold breath indeed. Very well captioned and the position on the mountain in the background with the sun is perfect. Great shot. Should make front page!

Love the use of long exposure here to get the moving clouds. other than cropping a little on the bottom to present more of a foreground, I think you nailed it.
