Composition - wooohooo! I am glad I get this picture. There's one thing I don't like about it, and then the rest is gonna be raving about how much i like this shot. The lighting on this shot is as good as it gets for a shot like this. Excellent! The contrasting patterns are great. You did an outstanding job making something very ordinary into something very breathtaking. The one thing I don't like is the crop. It's too close on the left side.

Photography - I wouldn't change a thing. The lighting makes this shot great. My wife has this same camera and is discovering that she can do these kinds of shots now. I'm very impressed with it.

Processing - Black and white was the ONLY way to go with this shot. Again, I don't like the crop so tight

Overall - This is an exceptional shot. This is very simple yet stunning. Terrific job. Looking forward to seeing more of these in the future!! - Bob

At first I thought it was too dark, but it grows on you, the dizzier you get from looking at the close stripes. This would be great for texture also. I love how the box just disappears into the background. Great job. Well done photo.

Wonderful texture of your box. I like the off kilter angle and the missing left side swallowed in black shadow. Not your everyday ho hum composition. Good B&W photo illustration. Honest solid accomplished ork.

What I love about your image: The textured lines, sweeping in all directions, use of b&w, lighting, background, shadows and composition. This one is spot on with meeting this weeks challenge. EXCELLENT 10:)

Very cool, I like this. Good job with the lighting and the composition is good too. Seems like it could be just a wee bit sharper.

Good image. I like the texture that you achieved with this image. The black backround really brings out the box's shape. This is a good image.

Great texture/pattern. like b/w here, and the absence of a background, how it seems to float is great.

This is definitely a case of “Less is More”. The subject is so basic, yet from it you have produced a very striking image. I love the way the texture contrasts so starkly with the surrounding darkness and the way the side of the box falls away to nothing. This image definitely dispels any doubts that lighting is the key to a good photograph. I cannot offer any advice, but I am curious about how well the image may have worked if the top of the box was also unseen – did you try this?
An excellent shot – well done!
