 Bright early morning sunshine across a covered porch makes dark shadows that fracture on the edges of house siding boards. The mound of shadow interrupting the lower part of the porch railing is due to a large mound of snow slowly beginning to melt at the end of a long winter. I always enjoy discovering unexpected beauty that would be easy to miss without a camera patiently reminding me to see when I look.
