Storm on the beach. No clue if it fits the challenge, but it's one of my favorites I made that day. Just basic editing.

Sand, not snow. Oops. Still a 10 from me.

An artful "painterly" photo that would grace a wall in a LOVELY fashion!

I like the movement in this image which to me enhanced the feeling of desolation of the scene.

Whimsical. It may be that it is sand being blown around, but it does not end up being harsh. The softness in the grass, eve if it is because of the wind blowing so hard, also makes the overall effect much mellow.

Timing is everything and this is it. I have a painting on my wall that is so similar but lacks this image's iiveliness. Maybe not so Ubique but still a 6.

I love the feel of movement with the blowing sand; howling, lonely beach.

I do like your choice to highlight the second ridge with your focus point - it pulls us across the image.

A subtle, delicate, howling image. As the scene recedes in overlapping planes, it's the second plane that's in focus, a fine choice that enables the windblown snow to be encompassing rather than fronting. The lovely, muted palette of green, gray and white exists in fine compositional balance. The mottled, obscuring background, which actually includes the foreground swirling snow, works as pseudo-bokeh. One of four personal favorites.

I usually flick past landscapes, but not this one. The sensual mood that you have created/captured is remarkably beautiful. Most landscapes are static; they just lie there looking spectacular like a supermodel on a pool lounger. But yours is dynamic, and that makes all the difference for me; in yours the supermodel is scratching her ... let's say her ear. That is, there's something interesting going on. The sense of movement, the dance between sand, air and light, is gorgeous. I think this photograph will go very close to the blue ribbon, and if it does I would not quibble one bit. It may not be my preferred cup of tea as a genre, but it's undeniably lovely, stimulating and interesting. Thank you.

This is simply beautiful. It is so ethereal and soft and the tinge of color is perfect. I am not see Ubique as much as I am seeing abstract beauty. It is wonderful!

I like how you have captured something ephemeral. This precise arrangement of particles has never occurred before and will never occur again.

You've made that tangible. All photos are a record of a moment but this more so than most, the scene itself unremarkable, its ephemerality total and dominating.

Well done.
