To make mud, water and earth look this beautiful is an art.

I'm curious to know the English translation of the title. My guess -- "Etched, Oxidized and Moonlit" It's either a toxic waste site or an extraordinarily processed image. It's rewardingly interesting and beautiful in a topsy-turvy way. What I really like is the sputtering sunset or moonrise (or their opposites) on the horizon. Wonderfully creative. If Armageddon looks like this I won't be completely dismayed.

The sky is water.
The foreground is water.
Therefore, the sky is the foreground.
Brilliant.

Perfect use of an overlay. Like a giant boot print stomping out a little slice of heaven

I know he loves his heavy vignetting and with this being a different kind of a photo, I really love the tones to my eyes.. the different shades pulls this out nice.

One of my top favorites and personal spark ribbons

this has a strong sense of 'photo as object' ... it is photo as rock... photo as something i can throw at you

I don't see how this cannot be the work of Jean-Jacques Béguin. Title's a strong hint of course, but so's the gentle sense of humour balanced with the sharp instinct for unexpected beauty. It's elegantly done, and isn't all over with the first minute's contemplation. The light, especially above the horizon, is beautifully painterly. Molte grazie.

Ah...Wheezing mud...the oily opalescence creates an interesting sense of texture and mystery. The vignette seems a bit over planted. 9

Pure grunge. I need to clean my monitor after viewing this. Nicely done! An enjoyable image to explore.

This is my commenting pass having voted earlier - I much prefer this on this subsequent visit. Corroded metal meets causal water. Very well constructed. Bumping to a 7.

Fancy-pants title! No idea what it means, but I like the artistic approach to the photograph. Feels almost metallic.
