Now... don't go all "animal/fish cruelty" on me. He was fine... happy... and got a snack. He wasn't in the dish long... and seemed quite happy there. (See his fins all spread and happy? If he were unhappy, he would just float to the bottom and draw his fins all into himself.)

Then, he went back into our pond and got another snack with his friends. :D

I had no idea what to title this (I never know titles... *sigh* I don't think they should be required. It's not a language composition class, right?). I have no idea what it means... It's just a title because this is the fish's world... for this three minutes of time.

Yeah... I know it's probably overly bright. So be it. I like it that way. :D

I spent the entire time trying to get Goldy to cover up the connection of the stem and the bowl of the vessel. I thought it was a hideous distraction to the scene.

As soon as Hubby saw the image, he said, "I love the swirl of his fin!"

Wow. Really? I always knew that the "shooting reality" affects the photographer's view of the image in a way that a person viewing it doesn't have. I try to remember that... and see my images as if I've just "come upon them"... ha! "Shooting environment" jades the photographer...

I like to leave my image up on my monitor... and then sneak up on it and see what I see.

Yeah. I might be crazy.

Goldy seemed to like the image, as he peered in my window from the pond, with binoculars... and his friends gathered 'round trying to see if he was telling them a "tall tale/tail about his adventures inside "the mansion".

He was telling them some elevated status story when I went out to listen... but quickly stopped when he saw me.

Prima donna

*rolleyes*

I'll never be able to put him in this vessel again. His head is too big. *rolleyes again*

Oh... CRAP! I only just now thought, "Dang! I should have taken a photo of Goldy and his binoculars."

I'm not a real photographer after all. *heavy sigh*

Oh well... at least I have the crystal stemwear my step-mom gave to me that I bought for her (on her dime) when I was nineteen and went to Europe...

At least there's something to life after all.

*grin*

It's for our daughter... if she ever marries. :D

REALLY? You're really still reading this??

Why?!

Go drink wine... have fun with friends. Get a life.

Take me with you.

What I like
- this is a neat shot, live all the refections on the glass

What I don't like
- wish framing was a bit different. I think it looks better if some of the left side us cropped so that the glass isn't dead center in the shot

Overall: nicely done. Looks like an advert for PETA or an environmental group.

Great shot ...did this fish survive? I remember getting a goldfish for a challenge and he had trouble breathing in a small bowl. He was really struggling so I put him back in the container he came in and rushed him back to Petsmart and threw him in a large tank .
