This comment made me laugh from tate: Everything about this works. The image quality is phone-camera like but hey, that's what I've been using too. Not an easy shot to get and I appreciate the effort and the result. 7 No not a camera phone, but like you said not the best image, never really tried this before, and the tank had a scratchy surface, I must of re-edited this shot over 10 times.

The girl was not directly gazing at the fish but a baby shark at the top of the fish tank. This fish tank is a real draw card for clients to this restaurant especially for little kiddies. They even have fish tanks in the bathrooms..

Loving all the comments, most I've had in a while, thanks.

Thanks for the bling Don.

Congrats on the HM Anita. This is a beauty. (I wish there could be a restaurant like that around here.)

Congrats On the HM Anita, nice to share the podium with you. The reference to Rachel on my image was a compliment; I love her work.

I may be thinking too highly of today's phone-cameras ... Certainly would be a challenge to get a shot like this with any camera! =)

The child watching intently really brings it together. I like the lighting and b/w processing too.

Good catch - but I would like to see a tighter crop leaving out the extra space on each side. voted earlier 7

Good composition and great catching on the light of the fish. Love how the fish to the right is completely sharp and the girl in the background is blurred. Good job :)

Really like this one, the fish are amazing, how sharp and shiny they are :)
love the idea of the girl in the background, that really makes it although I would of liked to have seen her looking at the fish rather than gazing into the distance.
great job 9
