 I tried. I really tried to enter an honest to goodness monument. In fact, this image was taken at an actual monument, and here is a photo of that monument.

But I think the message on my entry is quite "monumental", even if I do not expect anyone else to make the connection to the challenge.

I'm also pretty certain this will vie for the brown, and that the one I didn't would have done much better. But really, really, I'm in such a rebellious mood, I cannot stand it.

Bring on the 1, 2, and 3s (if I get that high).

There is something so epic about this image that it just forced itself on me.

Sometimes, DPC really surprises me. Definitely finished much higher than I expected. Thank you

Very nicely done, Johanna. I love the vast expanse and the hoop and lone figure. This finished much higher in my rankings.

This caught my attention immediately and kept holding on. So, so simple, yet powerful. At the same time conveying peacefulness and tension. My favorite of this challenge.
