 Had thought of doing one shoe with my foot in it and the other without for full and empty. I also thought of just shooting two memory cards as full and empty (like you can tell by looking!)... but then this came to me and I had to go for it.

If full and empty are opposites, then half full and half empty are too, depending on your perspective.

Did prep work before the shoot, then shot about 1 hour before rollover. all this planning means I will have failed and will score low, but I like the shot anyway.

Dings: Water levels are not perfectly even. Left sign is slightly crooked (darn placecard wouldn't stay folded like I wanted).

Processing was just lightroom, convert the B&W and adjust the usual settings and removed some spots. Then into PS for some high pass sharpening on a layer and just outlined the stuff that needed sharp. Then a spin through Silver Efex Pro 2 and a low key filter. Again added a layer so just the edges of the glass would get the low key treatment.

Anyway... another week another shot. Closing in on #400 for me.

Second vote was a 7... and then the 7 became an 8 or the 5 became a 6. Nice. But then vote 3 was a 5 again. Boo hoo hoo.

Had a great run.. up to 6.3 at one point and held that range... then the low-5er's voted it down saying it was a bad photo (1-5 is the bad side of the DPC stated scale)

Now it's in the 5.8 range and still falling.

Were you going for the water level being different on purpose? To validate the "full" and "empty"? The B&W works well!
