I gave you a high score, maybe not high enough. I found this painful to contemplate, very in keeping with your processing (and shooting) choices.

Congrats on the blue thumb, a very powerful image, a very sad fact of life, and one that should not be!

What a sad commentary on society that they can and do advertise 30 minute abortions.

Bumping a bit for the poignant commentary. Although I don't like partial desat I have to admit it does add impact here.

Usually not a fan of selective desat, but it works in a surprising and unsettling way here.

I'm biased because I live here and have seen these desperately sad signs many times. But my bias aside, this is still a terrific photograph of the crushing weight of dismal reality that descends on African women, whether they like it or not. Most people won't get this part, but you have suggested the burden borne upon the head, and that's brilliant. I prefer to think that you intended it, so there. Beautiful, awful (literally) photograph that rises far above the formulaic rubbish that seems to have characterised this challenge. 10 and a shared Blue Thumb for you, and Ndiyabulela Enkosi.

I love the sentiment and framing behind this picture; would rather it not have been selectively desaturated, but that's a personal preference.

This one is a puzzler for me. I believe it is the best photograph in the challenge. The cloths hanging partially in the shadows are so perfect. The black and white processing with the totally black sky is lovely. The sign has great texture and the posters for abortions are heart wrenching. The puzzling part is why did you leave the color in the sign? I suppose it will score better with the colored sign but it is wrong :-) in my humble opinion. Still a great photograph.

I'm not usually one for selective desaturation. It really works in this image! This should be in a magazine.
