Learning can be a painful process, especially at the beginning. Usually, the first steps in a new field are clumsy, require lots of focus, and still produce embarrassing results. At this point, it is obviously very easy to get discouraged and just give up. The temptation is so strong that such reaction is extremely common: it is not rare to see grown up kids still unable to read, write or count properly, unfortunately.

Helping and supporting a new learner is important if you want him to succeed. Of course, once a certain level of skill has been reached, pain progressively becomes pleasure. Getting there completely changes the game: suddenly you are able to live incredible adventures instead of simply deciphering words on pages, or you can start sharing emotions with an audience instead of wondering what key to press next on that bloody instrument. The technical constraints still exist, but they just disappear, letting the virtuoso forgetting them and creating a whole new world around him, like the musician on my image.

I'm quite sure you already told yourself: "oh this is nice, I wish I could do it too", looking at a sportsman, a painter, a musician, a cook, or any kind of skilled person. Given the shortness of life, I think that postponing the learning process leads nowhere. Learning new skills can be done, especially if one resolutely decides to work on it!

Thanks for the kind votes and comments, much appreciated.

Gyaban, good sir.

You are always an inspiration. I always try to do my best to make sure I don't dabble on the Expert Challenge because of my lack in Photoshop, Lightroom any other processing involved.

But when I see an Expert Challenge, I know I will be treated to a fascinating story and the tone of the description that just puts me in the action.

Lovely evocation of color and mood. The milky hue used herein nicely suits the particular light found just under the surface, suffused with sunlight. The saxophonist is beautifully posed, comfortable and engrossed. I really enjoy following the notes in their circuit as they are freed from their bubbles and swim free.

Hehe, easy to see who's the master. I was thinking for a week what you would create this time. A real masterpiece as usual. There goes the blue. A big 10 from me.
