I think some here expect a perfect hand to go with the perfect shot. Well I feel differently. The hand is a hand like all others. Imperfect! Not everyone can be a perfect model. I still think your photo should have won or at least got a little closer to the top of the list.

i apologize for my comments neil, i just wasn't seeing the transition, and i was tired

53rd place??? No way!!! You should have rated much higher in my view. It seems you got no credit for the technical merits of the capture.

Too much magic for us.

Nice Cuticles

it's too bad the light switch look overexposed. this is an interesting take on the challenge!
04/28/2002 08:11:00 AM
really nice level of detail in the skin, nice nail polish!!!
04/27/2002 06:09:00 AM
really great idea. But there is something about the composition that is jsut not holding me.
04/26/2002 09:04:00 AM
good idea. Might have been neat if you could have shot it further to the right so that only the switchplate and fingers (not moving hand) were showing.
04/25/2002 08:37:00 PM
You didn't rotate this 180 and trick us did you? nice but lacks some sharpness
04/25/2002 05:12:00 PM
Is it a double exposure?
04/24/2002 08:38:00 PM
dem some ugly ass fingers
04/24/2002 05:51:00 PM
I've got to figure out how to do this! Nice shot.
04/24/2002 01:01:00 PM
a completely differnt idea
04/24/2002 12:30:00 PM
Nicely done. The glare on the switch is probably unavoidable, considering the long shutter, or did you use a strobe?
04/24/2002 10:02:00 AM
nice time lapse
04/23/2002 10:32:00 PM
Wow....this is a 10. I can't believe how clear this is. You will have to explain how you did this. Awesome!!!!
04/23/2002 04:45:00 PM
I think people have really been using what they learned with flashes in the last challenge...
04/23/2002 11:12:00 AM
don't know how on earth you managed this double exposure - will be really interested to find out.
04/23/2002 08:47:00 AM
somehow i expect to see the lower finger image to be more in the dark...
04/22/2002 10:16:00 PM
you are not God...one word--lubriderm
04/22/2002 07:54:00 PM
Interesting double exposure, and a creative take on this weeks challenge.
04/22/2002 04:39:00 PM
Interesting "light" on the theme! Nice focusing for a "moving" shot. Good job!
04/22/2002 02:02:00 PM
What digital camera can do double exposures? Was this layered in Photoshop?
04/22/2002 01:32:00 PM
I like your transition! I, being a novice, don't uderstand how this shot was achieved. Normally, a long exposure leaves a motion trail. After the competition, please let me know how you do this! Good work!!
04/22/2002 12:57:00 PM
excellent effect
04/22/2002 12:51:00 PM
hey.. how'd you do that? cool..
04/22/2002 12:15:00 PM
Not sure what to tell you. I don't like it. Did you take this with one photo or did you do an overlay? Its kind of dull and its not a very attractive finger.
04/22/2002 10:18:00 AM
interesting, unusual 'double' pattern. Might have been good in B&W as the skin tones are distracting.
04/22/2002 08:20:00 AM
Nice use of exposure. Nice framing. Good transition too!
04/22/2002 08:11:00 AM
i get what the transitoin is, but i think the photo could be a lot better
04/25/2002 02:30:00 PM
pretty lame
