Thanks for all the great comments. As many of you guessed I was inspired by Norman Rockwell. I have always loved his paintings and his style. Any time people compare my photographs to his work I know I did something right :)

Fantastic warm tones in this photograph - love the composition where this young girl sits upon the suitcases gazing at her reflection impatiently waiting for the day when she can wear make-up. Very Rockwell in emotive presentation and tone.
