 Used a red filter and desaturated the middle part
Disqualification Details
You may not use ANY editing tool to create new image area, objects or features (such as lens flare or motion) that didn't already exist in your original capture. In this case, you ave created 3 rectangles where only one existed, by coloring the central one right. Selective decoloration is only allowed within established image boundaries. You could, for example, have turned the leaf white and left the rest alone, though that of course would not have been a flag...

I can appreciate this to a point, but I don't feel it highlights anything about photography. I hope you didn't create the red and white bars in post.
