Thanks everyone for the votes, this is my youngest son Cy who just got back from tree planting in Thunder Bay Ontario. It is a really tough job, 10 11 hours days 6 or more days a week living in tents and working through snow rain heat and bugs. Rewarding because of friends you make and of course the money. I used shallow depth of field on this because it was taken in the back yard and obviously not the bush. Im very proud of him for doing this!

Congrats on the ribbon. I feel guilty nabbing the blue and not being Canadian (my aunty lives in Toronto so I have a wee connection)

I like this a bunch. The colors might be a bit too saturated (drawing the eye away from the face), but other than that, I really love the processing.

This is my absolute fave of the bunch. Great sense of humour, but all kidding aside, I applaud these guys (and gals) for living in the conditions they do and plunking those plugs in the ground. Not easy work!

nice processing, the shallow DoF works well here :)

Not bad, but a bit over-processed. I really don't like how things get muddied when people go for that HDR look. Highlights in the hair have been blown, and there's some weird haloing going on around the foreground fingers and vest.
