I might be barking up the wrong tree. It was only in the last hour that I thought that the challenge was calling for some artistic treatment of the snapshot.
I used DAP, chose pencil (accidentally, I thought I selected pastel, but didn't have time to start over) and then blended it back with the original by using a reduced opacity and erasing some of the sketchy texture.

Post challenge:
Oh, yes indeed I was barking up the wrong tree! No-one else interpreted the challenge this way at all.

Here is the same thing without the artsy-fartsy.
In reply to pixelpig's
query about the legs, the 'white leg' is a bag and the black leg is partly obscured by it, hence it's apparent deformity. Of course the texture made that all a bit hard to read.

I'm rather glad you interpreted the challenge differently - lovely effect.

This was brave...an overlay in a snapshot challenge. I was enjoying the experience of the hairy texture when I noticed the white pants-leg. About thigh-high it disappears--what? And that black pant-legs in the BG lack a certain anatomical logic. The longer I look at this, the more fun I'm having. Thanks for the treat.
