These dead trees could certainly be imagined into life in accordance with their grotesque postures, giving this handsome black and white scene a boost of surrealism. I especially like the depth of field with its receding planes. I'm confused about the word "vlei." Googling it offers a meaning of a shallow, minor and often transient pond or marsh. Maybe I'm missing something.
