Exhibition of Coco Chanel in London.
Saw this girl and as she looked at the photo I shot hoping to get the feel for the room and the magic of being in the presence of this great artist.
The deep concentrated look on the girl kind of matched the look on the photo and after looking at it in LR I also thought the lips of both girls were kind of matched.. a Lev type of shot?

Greetings from the Critique Club!

Kudos on the HM, very well done and I can see why. Awfully brave to shoot at 1/3 and 1600 ISO...but it worked beautifully as I am guessing that any flash would have bleached out the faces in the prints something awful! I find it fascinating that only two of the crowd of young ladies here are paying any kind of attention at all to the actual prints...as noted already, it looks like some are taking selfies with the prints instead.

The comp is simple and does a fantastic job of leading you down the row of beautifully shot images of gorgeous women carefully styled and posed. The lightness of the prints draws even greater contrast to the pure black and the muddle of shadowy ladies who seem to be more absorbed in themselves. Wonderful strong statement, and I love the slight blur of the foreground girl leaning forward for a better look at what's behind her.

Overall very nicely down, and congrats on the HM! Feel free to pm me with any questions.

Susan

didn't vote but as much as I like the picture i probably would have deducted 2 points for the title. I actually made a thread once about the most overused photo titles and this was right at the top of the list. cool shot tho, really pretty girl

Love the facial expression and how it fades to black, very dramatic. Congratulations on your HM.

She has it and gives it. Good understated and underexposed processing lets her face (the live one) shine from the other live ones. voted earlier 7

I would call it "the lookS", all three of them, counting the girl in the back portrait. Love how they look at each other sequentially, and the last one looks at me!

Interesting take that shows a gathering of people looking at the art on the wall. I like how you composed the shot with the large picture of a woman's face dominating the left portion and then the next hanging portraits extend off to the background as a diagonal leading line. There is a woman on her phone looking over her shoulder to study the portrait of the woman on the wall. She is giving the photograph 'a look' as strangely enough the portrait picture stares back at her. I find it equally interesting that all the subjects within your photograph are all woman from what I can see. Woman taking pictures and looking at the portraits of the woman on the wall. Perhaps it is a gallery study and exploration of what is beauty/fame and by what standards does society judges beauty/fame. Looking at the expression of the woman in the forefront of the gallery I get the sense that she is not at all impressed by the picture or that she is apathetic to it.
