What a wonderful capture. Not often do you get to see an eagle tongue. Glad I'm not a mouse in his field of view :) 9

this is one pissed off bird! i love the expression on his face - very nasty evil look. this is a great picture, with some lovely sharp details. the blurring of the background is also a nice touch and automatically makes one focus on whats in the fore ground. good job! 8.

Very sharp, nice composition, and title. Not enough feather detail in the lower portion of the shot. I gave you an 8

I can see this with a yellow border around it & the words National Geographic there too. The timing & DOF are just amazing. 10. I just cant fault it.

He clearly doesn't want his picture taken. The focus is perfect for me. The framing is what prevents me from marking his higher. I fell it's a bit awkward to have him in the bottom of the frame like that. If you were going for a centered composition, he needs to be up considerably higher so that his eyes arrest the center of the frame. I think a square crop would work nicely here. 5, just-married

Do you ever wonder if perhaps despite way their face is shaped, they are actually bent double laughing? Oddly I could see that. Great catch either way.
