It appears this image was somewhat liked, which felt great. Kind of a holiday treat. I see lots of vast scenes on my hour commute each day, and most days I do pay attention and appreciate the ruralness. (The drive is hated on icy, snowy days, but I try to avoid having to drive during the worst of the weather.)

This shot was planned over a couple of days. I tried to spy good compositions as I drove, then on the next drive I would pull over and shoot. I won't say I captured exactly the view I had in my mind's eye, but it was close. (We had several days of nice fog which helped clean up,the scene.)

For processing, the detail in the foreground kind of perked my brain, so I went with it.
