 Based on the size and health of the Red Fox kits, we really could assume the male fox was a good hunter… in addition to the vixen's good mothering. I saw him today in the territory of the den. But, he is a somewhat bigger fox than the vixen. And indeed, he was on the hunt for rodents. Those six kits must require a lot of hunting every day. 05/14/15 4:41 PM MDT, Canon 5Dmk3, Canon EF400mm f/5.6L USM, f/5.6, 1/1000s, ISO 640, lens focal length 400mm.
