 Sitting on the beach playing with my Lensbaby when this little girl walked into the scene. Didn't even have the challenge in mind when I snapped it, just liked the picture and now I think it fits really well.

I expect this will either do very well or very poorly ... since I am starting to think the former I am almost certain that the latter is what I will get.

(Just some basic editing in LR, biggest change was to dial back the clarity which I regularly do with lensbaby shots. Also added a very light touch with Topaz Simplify during resize)

Post challenge: This was a fun one. Spent the first part of the week way below 5, then clawed its way back up and all the way to 5.5 before falling back a little at the end. This was probably one of the most gratifying 5s I've ever had around here. Most 5s come from scores bunched tightly around the middle with a couple outliers at either end. This one is sorta the same, but it appears to have elicited some strong opinions both ways with more than the usual number of 1-3 and 8-10 votes. And, I think this is one of the only, perhaps the only, image I've entered that got at least one vote in each of the 10 categories. That's gotta be worth something at least. :-)

A lot of good images simply don't connect with everyone. However, when you commenter average is two points above your all user average you know you connected strongly with some. I was in the group that thought this did a fantastic job communicating wide open spaces. Nice job.
