 Couldn't resist this challenge. As you probably know I LOVE macro. And love macro with water even more. Only this time things weren't working out at all...
Nothing I tried gave me anything decent and after three hours I was at the stage of either throwing everything out the window or packing things carefully away. While packing all the dishes, cups, glasses, bowls, cutlery, jars and anything I'd found in my kitchen cupboards worth photographing away, I still had a glass saucer out and when I picked up the plastic syringe I use for drops etc. , I was in such a bad mood by this time I squirted the remaining water in the syringe angrily onto the saucer and loved the squirting effect it gave. I'd found what I wanted to try for the challenge!
Now this finding the answer in the process of giving up is not new to me... but squirting water across the inner edge of a saucer was. I loved the result and this image (after a LOT of tries) was born.
Lighting was a flash with an orange filter to the back on the left and another flash towards the front with a blue filter on the right.
WonderDude asked if it's two kinds of liquids. Nope, it's plain old tap water.
