I wasn't quite sure what to do with this one. I was thinking of the swirling flower mess, but I didn't have any flowers. So I thought of what I did have: An orange scarf.

And a white mask.

I thought of hanging the mask and then moving the scarf in front of it -- but that was a complete fail. So I changed to hanging the mask, draping the scarf around it and then moving the camera.

Because I had a light behind the mask to light the eyes, I was getting white streaks. Then I realized that I could turn of the modeling light, use a long exposure and the flash at the beginning (I wanted to do a second curtain, but not sure I can do that with my modeling lights. It's not straight forward, if I even can.)

It was fun trying this. I assume that it's not abstract enough for a lot of people. But for me, it's abstract. :)

I mean, seriously -- look at the stuff I normally do -- it's pretty abstract for a squirrel and bird shooter. :)

I really like this a lot, it is one of my favorites for sure. I like all the different shades of orange, the exposure and focus and composition are all excellently done.

spooky looking, I like the colors and the feeling of flame you've created. Good positioning of the eyes on a third. Title works well with the image.
