Greetings from the Critique Club :)
I'm glad I got this photo for a CC selection because it was one of my favorite shots in the challenge. I see pet photos here every week, but most of them are not much more than your average snapshot. The theme of the 'cliche' challenge was to photograph a common subject but turn it into a great photo.. You have done an excellent job of that with your entry.
The lighting and the shallow depth of field in this image create a very 'soft' feeling to go along with the nature of this kitten.
I don't think there is anything you could have done to improve this great shot :)
Keep up the great work :)

| I have a cat about this color, and just a little bit bigger. Definitely a personal favorite of this challenge. Very adorable, and a good picture to boot. I might have tried to take this with greater DOF if at all possible. - Inspzil |

Absolutely beautiful. Has a great soft feel to it with that light. Looks like it could be a still from an advert.
Great composition, focus & DoF, this has to be my favourite this week, and that's saying something with the quality of shots in this challenge. Well done & good luck. |

| Now that's a keeper: excelently captured moment, wonderfull color and although it is a little overexposed at the left side this overeposure is fien, because it gives the feeling of relaxing in the warm sun. Focus and DOF are great too. It's one of my favorits and it will probably do good. good luck to you. |

| to me, the best of the cat photos. i like closeups, the light is great, the background has no distractions, it's sharp, and omg look that cute mouth and those little paws! :) |

"aaawwwww" ... what great shot for a Valentine, with the hue of pink. I love this angle and perspective, good focus on the tip of the nose.

| Such an adorable kitty! That pink nose is just too cute. Lighting caused some hot spots that are bothersome on the fur. I like the selective focus on the face and the paws in the foreground. 7 |

| This is the cutest cat shot this week. I like the softness of it and the white light, which some people might disagree with. I think it shows the contentment of the cat as he bathes in the sunlight. Wonderful shot! |

| The pink on kittens is so precious, and you captured it perfectly, even on a pink blanket. I can almost hear him purring. I just wish you had gotten back a little further and let me see all of him in focus. He is so cute. Still a good photo. |
