Yeah... I've never entered the Expert FS. I hope I don't regret only spending less than fifteen minutes to shoot and ... about five hours editing.

ok that's not quite true... I spent the first of the five hours editing the same girl mask into a totally different scene.

This is her own eye.

This is two images... her eye/face and her full-length body (in my daughter's dress)... plus a tear I made up when daughter texted that it looked like she was touching a poster.

Fair enough.

My model's a total doll! Does whatever I ask of her... and... she's a full time student and works for her tuition. Of course I pay her... but she never wants to take it.

A total doll.

Does it look real?

I can't decide. And... I've not been scoring well lately. I hate that.

*sigh*

Enter? Not enter??

Dang.

I never like this stuff.

I hope you're scoring well.

I... uhh... hope I'm scoring well.

I'm just not sure that it's photorealism. *sigh*

What are we looking for here in the monthly Expert Free Studies??

*heavy sigh*

Oh... ok. I'll enter.

But, I hope I'm not sorry.

*sigh again*

Thanks for the high vote, Ammie! And especially the Favorite! My score's been really bad so far... you made my day!

Hello from the Critique club

An appealing image that contributes well to the free challenge

You have taken full advantage of the expert editing freedom with this very creative entry, well done. Both shots have been carefully taken with great attention to detail and lighting and blended together to form something very unique. I find the eye, the hand and the tear all very well executed and convincing, it works well. I’m not quite so convinced with the left hand, I like the way you have the eyebrow hairs over her hand but they would have worked better had they been the same black as the rest of her eyebrow. All in all, I think you’ve done an excellent job.

I’m sorry you didn’t score higher and those sub 5’s cannot be justified, you certainly deserved to. I’m glad you overcame your procrastination and decided to enter such a creative image, thank you Lydia.
