Wow - I'm so surprised that this pic made it to the front page!

I totally agree with Matt who critizised that the face isn't in focus properly. In fact I hestitated to submit it at all but finally wanted to give it a try, because I loved the look so much (just like the voters did - obviously)

Actually these adorable little guys are twin brothers. Their father brought them to a village festival. It was lousy weather as you can tell from the mud protecion pants. I took several pictures of them just standing there and waiting patiently for their father to finish his chat with friends.
I loved this one too:
because it is more obvious that they were holding hands. But the bandaid isn't that visible and the background too messy and that special look is missing too. No idea was happend to his forehead - I'll have to ask his father about it

Well, thank you for giving me such friendly votes!

Little guy must be farsighted, love the way he's looking at you over the top of his glasses.

Congratulations, Barbara. Beautiful shot. I love that expression. The two of them look a bit overwhelmed by the big wide world (in both shots).

Congratulations on the 4th place finish! So glad you decided to submit it, and glad the voters appreciated what's truly important in photography, which this photo has in abundance.

This just made me smile every time I viewed it during voting; even my hubby laughed, as it reminded us both of images from long ago of him and his brother (my hubby the one with the bandage). Just priceless and I really wanted to see it with a ribbon. Congrats on the HM.

Oh that look says it all!! Baggy overalls, and Bandaid on forehead, did they get into a scuff? Has a real documentary feel to it, very adorable actually. In my top two. Voted already.

I have got to bump this. What is not to love? The band-aid, the matching outfits, that looks... Nicely captured.

7 from me (earlier)... back to comment to say:

That face! I love it!

I wish they were doing something "friend"y... instead of standing with their back to each other, but... that face!

Love the B/W, too!

I don't like that his buckles are in focus and everything else isn't. Would've been so much better if his eyes were in focus instead. But everything else about this photo is good.
