I'd seen a photo by William Eggleston of a tricycle that immediately stuck in my mind because of its use of perspective. So when this challenge came up I wanted to recreate the feel of that photo - that the child's toy consumed the house. I remembered my childhood wagon in the basement and put it in my car for just the right place ... and then it rained all weekend. When it stopped the skies were great, so I gave myself an hour to find a house to use. I found one in 10 minutes, did my shot and was going to go home with it, but then decided to look around a bit more. Then I remembered this place which was in a state of disrepair the last time I'd past it. They're fixing it up, and when I saw the brick walkway I knew I had my shot. I wanted to get the bottom of the wheels and I just couldn't get that and the house inside. Was so happy that it came together. I don't normally shoot stuff like this, so for that reason alone it's one of my favorite photographs.

I should have commented earlier, Jake. This one's a masterpiece, just perfect. Even truncating the wheels works, because the footings of the house itself are truncated. I was one of your 10s, and it was instantaneous too, which is rare for me.

I know this sort of shot is not as easy to set up as it appears. You did a great job on this. Great exposure, color, and most of all - looks legitimately IN the wagon!
