 A bamboo whisk used in the tea ceremony. It's less than 3cm wide where the cotton thread is.
Taken at largest size in camera. To get the macro effect, I used my f3.8 28-105mm Sigma zoom lens from my Pentax MZ-30.

On the computer, I reduced the size, did autolevels and added some saturation. I also passed the image through NeatImage to get rid of some noise.

Nice macro shot. Needs a colour adjustment.

I like the DoF blurring the handle around the edges. It helps bring my eyes to the blue string, which is unfortunatly not in focus itself.
