Yes, I over-cooked this one. It tickled me when I shot this, watching all these people on a neighboring boat going crazy to try and get a picture of that dolphin.

The composition reminded me of a classical painting, with lots of people in a bunch doing animated things, and that was what I was trying to emulate with the processing. I'll admit I didn't get it quite right by the deadline, but it was still a great experience watching these dolphins frolic all around us. Plus, that one kid literally straddling the widow's peak of a boat without a life vest, GoPro in hand, cracked me up. I don't have kids but I'll be damned if I'd let my kid do that.

On another note--it is ridiculously difficult getting a good dolphin shot from a boat!! Yes, they're playful and they seem to enjoy showing off in front of the tourist boats, but you have to have your camera (with a long lens) in front of your face the whole time, all the while dealing with waves and sea spray, and getting that shot with milliseconds of time, because they only surface for a brief moment. My respect for the dolphin, whale, shark, etc. photos from a boat have really increased since this experience.

Oh this was you! Yes I do have to agree with the processing. What I can't get over is how many are trying to take a photo of a moving dolphin with a phone...I guess not everyone has a fancy camera with a zoom lens.

Sure you had some other killer shots, how could you not take them at such a beautiful place like this!

So funny. Especially the kneeling lady at far right. Just really overcooked for me.

The processing somehow makes the whole scene look "unreal"....
