| Anita, I cannot see why this didn't do better. On initial view, I wasn't sure I liked the graininess, but after simply staring at it a while, I can't imagine it without it. it adds to the raw feel of this mountaintop moment of nature in all her glory. Severely underrated IMNSHO. |

Things I like abou this image: nearly everything. Things that could be improved: the subject isn't that interesting but I'm guessing you could do nothing about that. Overall a very nice image that should have done better.

| Anita I gave you a 6 for this. There are things that I really like - composition, sky, general concept. But there are also things that I don't. The graininess of the sky doesn't seem to be compatible with the stark contrasts of the rest of it and there are some harsh halos. (Btw, I think a certain comment about the horizon was ridiculous.) |

| Nice idea and composition, and the grainy high-contrast editing perfectly suits the subject matter. I didn't vote but would probably have given it a 7 or 8 ... |

Classic theme, superb perspective, overall a very strong image.
The only drawback IMHO is the darkened highlights at the upper middle part of the frame (the sun).
I hope to find the right place in top 3 (a 9 from me) |
