This shot of the Andromeda Galaxy was a combination of 77 exposures, plus dark and bias frames, from a REALLY dark site in the heart of the Adirondacks at a photo GTG with Neil.

The photo was actually a disappointment because I spent hours on a self-induced telescope alignment problem before finally giving up and just shooting through a camera lens piggybacked on top of the scope. By then the temperature had dropped below freezing and fog was rolling in off the lake. So after months of planning for this trip, most of the opportunity was wasted and I didn't shoot a single frame through the telescope!
