Aperture: 9.0
ISO: 800
Shutter: 1/50

i've never done good in the free studies.

It's (a bit) unexpected to win.

I'm happy :) for a ribbon, yes hihi, hihi

The shot is through a hotel window, hand-held, hence the lack of sharpness. There were some strong reflections of the room light that I had to avoid.

Funny how my highest scores are mostly HK or Snowy. Cityscapes and fluffy creatures, none of what I would call "my style" (... if ever any style).

As for Bear_Music's question, that is a scaffold, a bamboo scaffold. It is a common way to fix things in Hong Kong. Most probably fixing or installing an AC unit.

Quickly edited in LR and PS on my Surface Pro 3. Might need to re-do it.

this reminds me of Gursky - oh wait - you've won the Gursky challenge with a similar scene. This is blowing me away - again and again and again. Congrats!

Congrats! Out of all those balconies I think I see one person, and he's dressed in blue. A lucky charm!

It's amazing that this is just one small iota of space in this city, Great photo.

Nice follow-up, very Gursky-esque. Excellent work keeping the verticals aligned so cleanly. My only complaint is that the image overall could benefit from just a bit more critical sharpness - it's hard to tell given the subject matter, but it may be that some fine detail in the windows was lost due to slightly over-sharpening. One of my favourites in this challenge.

Hong Kong? The repeating window patterns along with subtle differences and details hold my attention. Very enjoyable!

Lovely image, you should convert this one in a Jigsaw puzzle, so many things to look at.

Whoa! This is simply stupendous. I'd love to have a 30x40 print of it :-) What the HECK is that platform halfway down the image and not far from the left edge? Feel free to PM me with info, you already have your 10 from me :-)
