For this challenge I chose the Barber Shop where I regularly go for a haircut. The barbers' chairs date from the 60's and it's without an appointment. In the years 1965, barbers were exclusively men. Today there is a man and 5 women who included the owner of the barber shop. The atmosphere is like I knew when I was little.

To meet the challenge, I try to take an angle that approaches the classic photographs of the 60s.

Hello from the critique club

An appealing image that contributes well to the challenge

A good choice of subject Marcel and well handled too. Those lovely old chairs look so comfy there must be a danger of falling asleep there! The chairs are what makes the scene work so your viewpoint is well chosen with the receding aspect of the room there is a sense of infinity to it. There is perhaps scope for more exposure but I think your exposure is preferable as the darker background enhances the distance. It looks good in mono too, preferable to colour.

I like the leading lines and the repetition. However, I wonder if a lower angle and maybe customer and barber in maybe the third or fourth chair would have given this more impact. But that's my perspective...Still one of photos in this challenge that draw me in the most.
