Oh wow - a yellow. I certainly didn't expect this. Thanks for all the votes. I guess I'm a bonafide artist now :-)

This is my third iPhone-taken ribbon too, which i think is cool.

---

putting the original up because i got a couple of comments about the edit:

i felt my edit was quite light in this image. i think the strongest filter that i applied was the vignette.

First of all, congrats on the ribbon... not easy in a challenge like that.

I have mixed feelings about this image: I think it deserved a top 3/5/10 and I like it. At the same time if I look at the original I can see a 'far from perfect' image. Editing is maybe not too strong but it completely change the perception of the photo. And it makes me wonder which is the meaning of Art?. waitingsilence and I were taking a look at the first 30 images of this challenge and we often disagreed about which were the best ones. Well, I'm sorry if I used your image to talk about the challenge in general, so I stop here. Congrats on the ribbon, I truly think you deserved it :)

Obviously not as enhanced by processing as I thought. Nice job. Thanks for posting the original.

I gave you a 10 on this, but only because I thought you used a crayon, and I love the taste of crayons.

My delusion doesn't need have to have a moon in the sky
My delusion doesn't need a blue lagoon standing by
No month of May, no twinkling stars
No hideaway, no soft guitars

My delusion doesn't need a castle rising in Spain
Or a dance to a constantly surprising refrain
Wide awake, I can make my most fantastic dreams come true

My delusion doesn't need a thing but you
and maybe some wet stairs and an umbrella.

Dark mysterious, kind of disturbing, I guess art can do that sometimes.

Hauntingly captivating. The staircase looks like it is leaning a bit and draws my attention, however, this is one of my top picks. Very art worthy.

I do like this. A lot. I've given it a 9. It was a 10, but I couldn't shake the sense that this is more about the processing than the image itself - of course they complement; but I feel you have begun to lose your vision, your photography with your chosen edit.

I do like the overall motif and the lighting though. A lot.

Nice and moody. I like the dark. I could picture this as a book cover.

The processing makes this mundane photo more artistic, there was however nothing to start with.

Is it up or down, does she walk into the light or out of the darkness, or is it all of no consequence at all-

Such a powerful mood to this -- obviously enhanced by the processing. I would have no idea how to achieve this.
