 This taken in Iceland on the beach near Jökulsárlón at dawn, as I was trying to capture a scene to personify the "Land Of Ice & Fire". Iceland, lying just below the Arctic Circle, is one of the fastest-warming places on the planet – as much as four times the Northern Hemisphere average. The 300+ glaciers that cover more than 10% of the island are losing an average of 11 billion tons of ice a year and could disappear completely within 100 years.
