Uhhh... I know this looks simple. But, with only one person, it's almost impossible. Especially if one doesn't have a remote shutter release (I do).

Regardless, I took THREE HUNDRED FIFTY images... to get three that worked like I wanted them to.

Then... editing it a billion times...

A long day of nothing but a tractor on the end of my arm.

*rolleyes*

place or deal with close together for contrasting effect.

I put a toy tractor in a real, rural, foggy scene... with my hand to show the juxtaposition.

I guess it wasn't clear.

Bummer.

Hello from the critique club

An interesting image that does not meet the challenge.

Oh Lydia, what a shame after all that hard work but whilst I like your thinking I think it fails to meet the challenge in the strictest sense of the challenge brief. A look at the winning entries hopefully helps clarify what I mean better than my clumsy description but I think this more closely resembles your tractor 'superimposed' upon the background rather than juxtaposed, ie., side by side or close by. I think you were right to include your hand to make it obvious that a cut and paste was not involved and that this was a 'live' manipulation. Sorry it didn't quite work as you hoped, better luck next time...

I don't understand how there is any juxtaposition?
