Winter fatigue. We will make it to Spring, but it's been a tough Winter in the mountains. This coyote is still eating well, but looks bedraggled. (Parallels my health in February!) My friends and family in Florida and Texas have picked a good season to be in the temperate zone. 02/24/17 12:28pm. Canon EOS Canon 5D Mark IV, Canon EF400mm. f/4 DO IS II USM, 1/2000s@f/8, ISO 400, lens focal length 400mm. This is high key, soft focus processing.

Soft focus does not mean blurry. I took this sharp image and softened the focus to meet the challenge. I would never submit a blurry image. An image can be soft focus without being blurry. That's my interpretation of the challenge and the approach I took with the coyote.

I like your coyote, the snow on her, the bloody past repast.

Beautiful photo. High key but not soft focus.

The blood on the neck is an important detail in this image, and it is a high key image. The focus on the Coyote though is sharp
