 Had a lot of good and interesting comments on this shot, so I thought I'd give a bit of info on the "beginning of the making of".

Anyway...about 8 or 9 years ago someone wrote to me asking if I could show a photo of my "studio" set up. So I thought "why not" and sent the photo off. I don't have a studio and do my photography in the kitchen. He replied saying my set up was very humble and sounded quite disappointed. I wasn't sure whether to be sad or not about his reaction.

Below is a photo of the glass objects I used for my challenge image (2 glass serving plates, a small glass bottle and a piece of cellophane).
On reflection, I must admit my set up IS pretty humble...


However, placing a colored foil over both strategically placed flashes, learning to bend your body like a contortionist to get shots from different angles, ending up with backache, a headache, flat feet and a tendency to sweat and swear uncontrollably for hours on end, one can end up with some quite interesting results.
