I but a radial blur around her bum to emphasis it, I must have forgot the dpc rush to find flaw and not see it as a feature! And on my screen which is a calibrated imac27" the back wall is exposed as I wanted can see all the detail and isn't to dark at all, I checked on mac book pro retina and iPhone maybe George your monitor is set to dark I'd be intrigued to see a photo of how you see it?
The shy maid is a boat in game of thrones books and was just on the audio book as I submitted and I liked the juxtaposition of the title as clearly a girl in a spanking skirt isn't shy! This seemed to be lost a few ppl!!
I know the soccer mum conservativeness of dpc meant it'd score low but dpc used to have content like this in the hat days so I'm Pushing against imposed boundaries ppl should vote on the photographic merit and how it fits the challenge not on their own predisposition to the subject matter

Lost places and pretty girls are always a good combination!
I like this picture a lot although I have to agree with Georges about the sharpness on hair and boots: that puts even more emphasis on her butt which isn't necessary at all. The light is perfect imho.
I haven't read or seen Game of Thrones so I'm not familiar with the story of the shy maid. To me this looks anything but shy...
When I saw this picture at voting I was wondering who dared to show this much bare skin. I'm not surprised that it didn't end up higher because of voters who have a problem with nuditiy. For me it deserves a ribbon. |

Nice butt. Your framing makes us all become part in voyeurism.
I am always surprised what we can find in those abandoned places...
The girl misses some sharpness on hair and boots. A little too dark that back wall. A 7 from me. |

She doesn't seem to be resolutely, irredeemably shy.
In case it's overlooked by your other commenters, or by those who withhold comment in prim protest at something, it's admirable that your photograph from behind has a point to that point of view. Most entries have none at all. Thank you. |

| A top 3 pick for me. Nice tones (and toning) in a cheeky (pun intended) and fun portrait although I suspect that the real story is not as interesting as this shot could suggest. |
