Hello from the critique club
An appealing image that meets the challenge well.
Wow GinTay very nicely done, you’ve certainly cropped close but this works so well because you have something extraordinary and unique here. By focussing on the wing you are able to show us the intricate delicate detail of the wing whilst keeping the insect itself in soft focus, this makes for a marvellous perspective that is so out of keeping with the ‘normal’ approach, I like it a lot. Congratulations for such a well deserved result and ribbon for such a wonderful image, thank you for sharing. |

Love the DOF! Unusual to see focus just on the wing, but it makes it much more interesting to me. Congrats on the yellow. |

Amazing conception and photograph. The shallow depth of field is all it takes to establish the transparent, reticulated wing of this insect (dragonfly?), like a curtain that's meant to reveal. The insect seems to slink past itself, Gollum-like, before a bright background. It's an allegory that can sail off in countless directions. It's cropped to its essence. My personal favorite in this challenge. |
