Silhouettes shrouded by the mist, the hordes crossing over the terrain. Are they coming in for the good or the bad?

Greetings from the Critique Club! Yes, a pic that definitely makes you wonder...who are they, where are they coming from, are they good or are they bad? The mist adds a great otherworldly effect and helps add to the mystery as we can only see silhouettes.

Now, why didn't this image do better...well, your settings are spot on for a shot like this, but the comp is a little boring. 1/3 sky (and intriguing silhouettes) and 2/3 boring muddy field, where there is nothing happening, nothing to draw the viewer in. I think that if you had cropped out the muddy field from that black pit running through the middle of it, and maybe played a little more in whatever pp software you use, that this would have been a much stronger image.

Hope this helps, feel free to PM me with any questions.
