A Green Heron (Butorides Virescens) searches for lunch in a spider web on the West Fork of the San Jacinto river. Taken from my Ascend H12 kayak near Lake Stubblefield, Texas, USA.

When I went out the other day I was hoping to get a shot of a Green Heron really stretched out and hanging upside down from a branch above the water. This was the closest I got to getting the photograph that I was after for this challenge.

Really not sure what to expect from this challenge, would like to be in the range of a 6 at least.

Photograph was taken handheld from my kayak.

Hello from the critique club

An appealing image that meets the challenge well

Do they really stretch out upside down then? The image itself is up to your normal high standards Ronnie and no less amazing what you can do with your kit hand-held a credit to you. As far as the challenge is concerned there is not much else you could have done with but inevitably in terms of this challenge you were always going to be up against it so your score might not be as high as you wished for but nevertheless still respectable.
