This will probably do really well, as it is a beautiful image.
But, my understanding of the Rule of Thirds is that the subject is a the join of two "thirds lines"... this one lies perfectly on the lower third line, but misses both of the vertical third joins.
It probably won't matter... and maybe I'm wrong.
In any case, I really like the image. And the colors and clarity are stunning. |

| You've made a lovely image that conveys a sense of serenity and calm to me. And, although you've placed the horizon well below the center line, to my eyes, the trees are close enough together that the overall impression is one of centered composition rather than a more traditional rule of thirds subject placement. |

| This lovely image certainly does promise a fine day ahead. The trees and mudflats are balanced and immaculate. The enormous sky is charming. I like how the terrain beneath the foreground water is revealed. |

Ok -- feeling mixed about this one, too. Love the colors and the processing, but the centering of the trees just feels wrong. Plus the hills in the background and that splash of pinks is marvelous. I'm wondering if it would have been better keeping things on the bottom 1/3 horizaontally, but placing the tree grouping on the lower left third instead of centered.

| Lovely pastel colors. Not sure I love the composition with the trees so centered on an ROT line. The empty space on the left is making me feel it's unbalanced. I think I'm more an intersection kind of gal, anyway. |
