I know her, I have seen her before. France is full of unfortunate people.

If this image was in a book of a vested, well known, celebrated photographer we would ask for a challenge to emulate his work. We had actually had one in the style of jagar, admitting that he was pretty good. At least for us.

A few years after, we mark him with 4s an 5s and 6s. No 1 and 2 means a certain progress though.
It is not a form breaking oeuvre, nothing blurry or unrecognizable, no use of neologisms or any pretension. Just a fabulous street shot. Then? A 7.23 average only?

A blue and a red. Well deserved.
The fragility of the hand reaching for her strong shadow is marvelous.

I like how she floats (and I get the hint, so ten it is)

have a balloon for an enhanced floatation

The thirds here flow into position as this interesting-looking woman stops for a moment. Composition, contrast, light, texture, concision, and sympathetic observation - all harmoniously work together here. I especially enjoy how her shadow seems to take flight. A modest gem.
Personal favorite of the challenge.

quirky but its an interesting shot I think it is all about the woman and it leaves you wondering what her story is.she looks as if she has had a hard life
