[Jan. 21st, 2018 08:42:40 AM]

I don't like taking a shot that did well in a previous challenge and using outtakes for another challenge -- but I ran out of time and had no ideas.

Plus -- I really liked this shot and wanted to play with it. :)

I have dreams some day of creating greeting cards and selling them in a local bird store. Don't know if they'd do it, and it's cost prohibitive right now. I don't have a printer that can do it well, and printing on cards at WHCC and places like that are still mega-expensive.

But I'm rambling... (so what else is new?)

Anyway -- this was created for that purpose.

As mentioned in my new years resolution entry, I'm so excited to have bluebirds back in my yard. It's the first time that I've had them in the winter. The shots aren't quite as good, because I'm shooting through the backdoor. (In the spring, I sit with the door open and shoot. Somehow when it's in the 20s, I'm not so eager to sit for two hours with the door open! I could blame it on Jeff, but no -- I really am a wimp with the cold these days.)

Thanks for the comments. I'm extremely surprised at the nice score. I figured I'd be hit hard with it coming after the new years challenge.

I'm also lucky that the cup wasn't broken. I had starlings and mockingbirds landing on it and really rattling it when they took off. It wobbled a lot, but didn't go crashing. (weebles?) :)

Thanks again!

So I hit the nail in the head. Make the greeting cards Wendy! They'll be great and high quality.(But for me, here, leave the vignette out!)

Don't create the greeting cards some day, Wendy. Do it now, your work is amazing.

Enjoying this as much as your other one. I think the processing is fab - it would make a wonderful card. I have attempted the card thing and it was a right pain to administer with very little profit. Was nice seeing my cards in shops though. Congrats on the HM!

I personally don't care for the vignette which takes this beautiful shot into a Hallmark card field
