An appealing image that meets the challenge well

Very effective use of the tilt/shift technique Janine. I like the use of mono it contrasts the dark centre against the petal very effectively. Your composition is good, the soft focus areas really make the centre stand out. I like the whites but feel a touch less exposure may have benefited but all in all a very nice job, well done.
