Love the whole idea behind this pic, the lighting and the post work adds that Rockwell feel. Congrats on the HM! Also ove how the perspective makes the dog look big enough to eat your hubby :-)

Gracie just told me she wants to have an even bigger presence on DPC,

Yes tiny the dog is big and my hubby is thin, the dog is sitting a bit in front which makes her look so much larger but we don't want a flat photo do we and I wasn't sure how well the crosshatch would go over so I may not use that again. My Gracie (dog) is a mess and if you tease her too much she starts barking at you. She's a Wiemador (1/2 lab and 1/2 WiemarainerI)

Thanks to everyone who voted and commented on my photo. It feels good to break away from my normal right from the middle in challenges.

the dog needs to be smaller or the male model larger.

Oh what a tease, excellent patient dog you have there. Looks like you may have used the cross hatch filter I could be wrong, not sure if many of his photos represented in that way, but you did a pretty good job considering.

Scene is very homey; seems like a subject Rockwell might paint. Not sure what I think of the processing, to be honest. The dog's eyes look kind of cartoonish.
