First entry to DPC for a long while! Let's hope it's not the last for a while.

Hope the crowd forgives the blown highlights - by the time I came to edit my shot I realised I'd shot in JPEG, not RAW, and the light had gone. so reshooting was not an option. Lighting is natural window light to right of camera.

I'm guessing some won't see the concept straight off - which is a good thing as it's subliminal after all. Hopefully people will look at it long enough to get it. If you're reading this and still not getting it, it's an upside-down, erm, well, bottom!

The crop might be controversial, but it's essential to the shot - I think ideally I'd go a lot wider, but I needed to create some sort of an illusion of legs.

Editing - I'm so rusty at this! Slight rotation, crop, healing brush to clone out where the clear label border was too distracting, clone stamp to clone out a number on the label, then photo filter layer to max out the green a bit, then resize and smart sharpen.

this hearkens back to the original book on subliminal messages, which had examples of bottles like this, where the water drops shaped themselves into various things. I don't see any shapes here, though.

Even your title suggests that you should have flipped this vertically. ;-) Great photo, though.

classic subliminal, a deeper DoF would have worked better for me
